Mackmyra Barnsten Swedish Single Malt Whisky is a single cask bottling handpicked by Master blender Angela D’Orazio. It is the 15th release in the Mackmyra Moments series, a series of single cask, limted edition, bottlings. Mackymyra is the new generation of Swedish malt whisky, produced using Swedish ingredients at the Mackmyra Bruk mill, which has a tradition of craftsmanship dating back to the 17th century. Water is sourced from an underground spring fed by the Valboasen Mountain and Swedish Oak is harvested from the island of Visingso. The Whisky is aged in the Bodås mine, 50 metres down inside the primary rock.

Mackmyra Barnsten Swedish Single Malt Whisky is produced after Mackmyra have just made a batch of their smoky whisky (Mackmyra Svensk Rok) and this imparts a very gentle smokiness to the whisky. The whisky is then aged in ex French Bordeaux wine casks, Cloudberry wine casks and casks of Swedish oak.
