Valdeorite Rutas de La Pasion is a red wine made by Bodegas Valdeorite. It is bottled as a Vino de la Tierra de Extremadura.
Bodegas Valdeorite is the brainchild of Don Manuel López Morenas and was founded with the premise of making quality wines in a region well-known for mass-productions of cheap wines. The modern winery is equipped with modern technology and equipment and, under the watchful eye of world-renowned oenologist Ignacio González, tradition and modernity combine to create some of the best wine that Extremadura has to offer. The “Rutas” project, the Rutas de La Pasion and Rutas del Arte wines, are Ignacio’s project.
Valdeorite Rutas de La Pasion is a blend of 55% Tempranillo and 45% Mazuelo (also known as Carignan).
Valdeorite Rutas de La Pasion is great with any meat dishes, rice dishes, sausages, ham and cured cheeses.
Valdeorite Rutas de La Pasion is a bright red colour with violet hints. The nose it fresh and fruity with mainly red fruits and hints of spice. The palate is well balanced, there are plenty of red fruit flavours (cherry, plum), some herbaceous character and hint of spice. Good length.
