Beaujolais Blanc (white Beaujolais) is made only from Chardonnay grapes (until recently Aligoté was allowed). It accounts for approximately 2 to 3% of the region’s wine production. Many of the vineyards overlap into the Mâconnais regions and producers often choose to label their wines under the better known Mâcon Blanc designation.
