Auchentoshan 18 Year Old is a whiskey made by Auchentoshan. Founded in 1823, Auchentoshan is Glasgow’s closest distillery producing Lowland Single Malt. Pronounced Ock’un’tosh’un’, meaning ‘Corner of the field’ in gaelic. Auchentoshan is a Lowland Single Malt – it is one of only three remaining distilleries in the Scottish Lowlands along with Bladnoch and Glenkinchie. Unusually for a Scottish distillery, Auchentoshan practices triple distillation, after this the whisky is then aged for 12 years.
