The Romeo Y Julieta Petit Churchill was was launched in 2012 to accommodate the needs of the modern cigar smoker. Romeo Y Julieta are also keeping up with the more modern fashion for shorter, thicker cigars. The Romeo Y Julieta Churchill is a wider ring gauge than a standard Churchill cigar but a shorter 4 inches, so it will not take as long to smoke, around 30 to 40 minutes.
The Romeo Y Julieta Brand is named after Shakespeare’s eponymous lovers and, as Cuban cigar brand, dates back to 1875. An historic brand whose Julieta No. 2 vitola was so favoured by Sir Winston Churchill that it became known simply as a “Churchill” cigar. Romeo Y Julieta’s balanced and aromatic blend of selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone make it the classic medium bodied Habano.
