Tasting Notes

Tosolini Sambuca has a strong and distinct aroma of anise. The initial taste is sweet and slightly syrupy, followed by a strong licorice flavor from the anise, and a hint of spice. It has a smooth and slightly oily texture, with a warming finish and a slight bitterness.

To Serve

Tosolini Sambuca can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks, and is often used in cocktails as a sweetening and flavoring agent.

One popular cocktail using Tosolini Sambuca is the Sambuca con la Mosca, which means “Sambuca with a fly” in Italian. To make it, fill a shot glass with Tosolini Sambuca, and then top it with three coffee beans. The coffee beans are meant to represent the “flies” in the drink, and also add a delicious aroma to the Sambuca.

Another cocktail using Tosolini Sambuca is the Sambuca Sunrise. To make it, fill a shaker with ice and add 1 oz. of Tosolini Sambuca, 1 oz. of orange juice, and a splash of grenadine. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange slice and enjoy the sweet and tangy flavours of this cocktail.
